Hadestown Film Sets Streaming Release
The pro shot of the London stage production, featuring the original Broadway cast, will be available to stream on major platforms August 25.

Composer Anaïs Mitchell has announced via Instagram that the film capture of her musical Hadestown will become streamable on August 25.

With direction by Rachel Chavkin, the musical retelling of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Musical. The original Broadway principals (Reeve Carney as Orpheus, André De Shields as Hermes, Amber Gray as Persephone, Eva Noblezada as Eurydice, and Patrick Page as Hades) reunited in London last year to record a film capture of the production, which was released in movie theater in July, earning over $10 million on opening weekend.
