Watch: Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, Megan Hilty and More Discuss It's a Wonderful Life on Broadway

Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, Megan Hilty, Andrew Rannells, and Tituss Burgess are returning to Broadway this month in It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at the Broadhurst Theatre. Performances run November 4-January 3.

Here, we sit down with the stars, playwright Joe Landry, and director Jerry Zaks to discuss bringing this beloved holiday classic to the stage for its Broadway debut.

The 1996 play is a regional staple. Inspired by the short story The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern (not to mention the iconic Frank Capra film), the work takes place in a recording studio, where five actors bring the timeless story of George Bailey to life as a 1940s radio play, complete with a foley artist, holiday carols, and all the trimmings.

Rannells heads the company as George Bailey, alongside Burgess as Clarence, Hamlin as Mr. Potter, Hilty as Mary Bailey, and Rinna as Violet. The design team includes Santo Loquasto (sets and costumes), Kenneth Posner (lighting), and Palmer Hefferan (sound). Andy Einhorn is musical director.
