Santa works one day a year. Broadway works 8 shows a week…and on an extra-special holiday schedule, no less.
Broadway actors can’t stop, won’t stop, performing eight times a week. As the old saying goes, “the show must go on,” and not even Santa Claus can bring the curtain down. Whether you choose to spend an afternoon with the ménage à trois of Betrayal, celebrate the print news industry with Newsies before prepping the figgy pudding, or catch the infamous Spider-Man Turn off the Dark with your relatives visiting from out of town, the show will go on, on a special holiday schedule. On Christmas or New Year's Day, for those who want some live entertainment after scarfing down Chinese takeout or catching a flick (or if you need a break from the onslaught of family), take a time machine to Harlem with After Midnight or spend A Night with Janis Joplin, who is probably better company than your pill-popping great-aunt, anyway.
