Synopsis

With wildly inventive life-size puppets, exotic masks, and costumes, Disney's adaptation of its popular animated movie is a visual stunner. The 1998 Tony Award-winning Best Musical is directed by the visionary Julie Taymor and features terrific music by Elton John and Tim Rice. The show follows the adventures of the royal lion cub Simba, and his quest to grow up and learn what it means to be a king.

Review: THE BEST SHOW EVER!! by brianisaac

THE BEST SHOW EVER!!! Ive never seen a Broadway show in my life and seeing THE LION KING has gotten me addicted. A most beautiful production. I love everything about this. God bless the producers, directors, most of all the cast for bringing a wonderful story to dazzling life on the Broadway stage.

Review: The Lion King by babblingwally

I held off seeing this for so long because I was afraid it was going to be like Cats, but it wasnt at all. It was amazing. The costumes were breathtaking, and combined with the music, it was just a wonderful show. I am definitely seeing it again.

Review: Breathtaking by eileen

I am not a Disney person, but I saw this about six years ago and the first ten minutes are so beautiful I was choking up. Its not cartoonish at all. The music, lighting and costumes create a living work of art before your eyes. Really spectacular.

Review: The Lion King by jessenia.oyola

This show was phenomenal. I felt like a little girl again, mesmorized by all the colors and props... I cant wait until my daughter is old enough to enjoy it the way I did.
