Celia Keenan-Bolger, John Ellison Conlee, and Jeremy Shamos Set for Tumacho
Leigh Silverman will direct Ethan Lipton's "Western comedy with music" at the Wild Project.
Husband and wife Tony nominees Celia Keenan-Bolger (The Glass Menagerie) and John Ellison Conlee (Murder Ballad) will appear together in the upcoming off-Broadway run of Ethan Lipton's Tumacho. Directed by Leigh Silverman, the production will run from June 27-July 9 at the Wild Project as part of Clubbed Thumb's annual Summerworks series.
Described as a "Western comedy with music," the play follows the citizens of a frontier outpost as they look for someone to rescue them from a local villain. The full company will also include Quincy Tyler Bernstine (Ruined), Mike Brun (Old Hats), Bill Buell (Elementary), Gibson Frazier (10 out of 12), Omar Metwally (The Affair), Jeremy Shamos (Noises Off), and Danny Wolohan (The Flick). The creative team will include David Zinn (scenic design), Anita Yavich (costume design), and Jennifer Schriever (lighting design).
The upcoming Summerworks season will also include Julia Jarcho's Every Angel Is Brutal, featuring Jiehae Park, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Susannah Perkins, Pete Simpson, Jenny Seastone, and Amelia Workman. Directed by Knud Adams, the play will feature set design by Marsha Ginsberg, costumes by Sydney Maresca, lighting design by Bradley King and sound design by Peter Mills Weiss. It will run May 27-June 6.
Also on the schedule is Eric Dufault's The Tomb of King Tot, with Brad Bellamy, Nick Choksi, Bianca Crudo, Carmen M. Herlihy, and Annie McNamara. Directed by Portia Krieger, it will run from June 11-21, with set design by Carolyn Mraz, costumes by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Barbara Samuels, and sound design by Lee Kinney.
