Aaron Alcaraz Will Be the Next Shane Hollander in Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody

Producer Alan Kliffer has announced that Aaron Alcaraz will take over the role of Shane Hollander from August 13-30 in Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody at the Culture Club off-Broadway.

Alcaraz has been seen on Broadway in Here Lies Love and Back to the Future.

Jimin Moon will play their final performance in the production on Wednesday, August 12. Casting for the role of Shane beyond August 30 will be announced at a later date.

Additionally, current company member Shelby Acosta will assume the role of Shane’s Mom & Others beginning Thursday, September 10. Cherry Torres will take her final bow in the production on Wednesday, September 9. Also, Sujaya Sunkara has joined the production as Understudy for Main Susan, Shane’s Mom, Ilya’s Dad.

The current cast features Jay Armstrong Johnson as Ilya Rozanov and Jimin Moon as Shane Hollander, with Ryann Redmond, Cherry Torres, and Ryan Duncan rounding out the ensemble, and Shelby Acosta and Daniel Brackett as standbys.

Inspired by the sensational TV drama about secret gay hockey players in love, Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody is written by Dylan MarcAurele (book, music, lyrics and orchestrations) and directed by Alan Kliffer.
