Else Went's Degenerates at Playwrights Horizons Announces Cast

Playwrights Horizons has announced the cast for the world premiere of Else Went’s Degenerates, directed by Emma Rosa Went, running September 16–October 11.

This world premiere play about the extreme side of the epidemic of male loneliness brings audiences into a group forged around their own perceived unlovability.

In their obscure corner of the internet, the characters in Degenerates offer each other proof that the game is rigged against men. When an unexpected relationship begins to form, the consequences of these boys’ fatalism are made abundantly clear.

The cast includes Juan Arturo as Serge/Chad, Olivia Rose Barresi as Stacy, Zachary W. Desmond as Miller, Tyler Nowell Felix as Kemp, and Christopher Dylan White as Target.

The creative team includes scenic designer Mikiko Suzuki MacAdams, cosume designer Kindall Houston Almond, lighting designer Jiyoun Chang, sound designer Angela Baughman, video and projection designer S. Katy Tucker, dramaturg Sarah Lunnie, and intimacy director Willow Funkhouser.
