Resplendent beneath bratty curls and chased by signs hailing her “the first pop star to ever be Mary,” Meg Stalter rode through yesterday’s NYC Pride march in a BMW convertible to celebrate her impending Broadway debut as Mary Todd Lincoln in Cole Escola’s hit comedy, Oh, Mary! As previously reported, Stalter will take over the title role from Maya Rudolph, who plays her final performance July 5. Starting July 6, Stalter will be joined by Barrett Foa (as Mary’s teacher) and Ryo Kamibayashi (as Mary’s husband’s assistant). You can see her in the parade below:

Statler also made a pit stop to perform her new single “Gay” alongside Katie Gavin of MUNA:
