Full Casting Annouced for Oscar Isaac-Led Hamlet

Gayle Rankin and Charlayne Woodard join the cast.

The Public Theater has announced complete casting for Hamlet, featuring Golden Globe Award winner Oscar Isaac in the title role. The Shakespearean tragedy will be directed by Tony winner Sam Gold, with a run scheduled for June 20-September 3 in the Anspacher Theater. A press opening is set for July 13.

In addition to Isaac, the full company will include Roberta Colindrez (Rosencrantz), Ritchie Coster (Claudius), Peter Friedman (Polonius), Keegan-Michael Key (Horatio), Gayle Rankin (Ophelia, Second Gravedigger), Matthew Saldívar (Guildenstern), Charlayne Woodard (Gertrude), and Anatol Yusef (Laertes).

Hamlet features scenic design by David Zinn, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Mark Barton, sound design by Bray Poor, and musical direction, composition, and performance by cellist Ernst Reijseger.
