Dove Cameron and Company of Clueless, the Musical Begin Rehearsals

The New Group presents the world-premiere adaptation of Amy Heckerling’s hit 1995 comedy.

Emmy award winner Dove Cameron and the company of Amy Heckerling's Clueless, the Musical began rehearsals for the New Group's world-premiere production at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Performances are set to begin November 20 ahead of a December 11 opening night and run through January 12.

Kristin Hanggi directs the production. which stars Cameron as Cher. Also featured in the cast are Ephie Aardema (Tai), Lori Alan (Miss Geist, Ms. Stoeger), Sara Andreas (Heather), Gilbert L. Bailey II (Murray), Dave Thomas Brown (Josh), Will Connolly (Travis), Tiffany Engen (Swing), Katie Goffman (Swing), Danielle Marie Gonzalez (Lucy), Tessa Grady (Amber), Talya Groves (Summer), Chris Hoch (Mel, Mr. Hall, DMV Instructor), L'ogan J'ones (Max), Jeff Kuhr (Swing), Darius Jordan Lee (Sean), Justin Mortelliti (Christian), Brett Thiele (Elton), and Zurin Villanueva (Dionne).

Clueless is a modern spin on Jane Austen's Emma, and will feature a score that "reimagines '90s hits into ingenious parodies and yearning monologues for her lovesick characters." Joining Hanggi on the creative team are Kelly Devine (choreography), Beowulf Boritt (scenic design), Amy Clark (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), Gareth Owen (sound design), Darrel Maloney (projection design), Ethan Popp (musical supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations), and Matthew Smedal (musical direction).
