The Blue Violinist Over West End Avenue Sets Full Cast for Off-Broadway Premiere

Prism Stage Company and Cate Cammarata have announced the full cast for the world premiere of The Blue Violinist Over West End Avenue, a new play by Debbie Goodstein, directed by Jonathan Silverstein. The production will play a six-week engagement at Theatre Row’s Theatre Five, October 28-December 5.

The cast includes Ali Axelrod, Yair Ben-Dor, Etai Benson, Harrison Bryan, Lauriel Friedman, Adam Heller, Rory Kulz, Mike Labbadia, and Barbara Walsh.

In The Blue Violinist Over West End Avenue, the Stein family gathers on Manhattan’s Upper West Side to celebrate an engagement. The festivities take an unexpected turn when the youngest son introduces his new girlfriend, whose views about Israel expose long-standing wounds, buried secrets, and divisions within the family.

Sarah Parker joins the production as choreographer. The creative team includes choreographer Sarah Parker, scenic designer Lauren Helpern, costume designer Jennifer Paar, lighting designer David Lander, and composer/sound designer Daniel Baker. Shane Schnetzler is production stage manager, with Genevieve Dornemann as assistant stage manager.
