South Coast Repertory is set to present Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular, September 7-October 7. Founding artistic director David Emmes will direct.
Set over three successive Christmas Eves in three different kitchens, Absurd Person Singular listens in on the relationships of three couples as they experience soaring and diving fortunes.
The cast will feature Tessa Auberjonois (Eva), Robert Curtis Brown (Ronald), JD Cullum (Sidney), Kathleen Early (Jane), Colette Kilroy (Marion), and Alan Smyth (Geoffrey).
The design team will include Sara Ryung Clement (set design), Nephelie
Andonyadis (costume design), Lonnie Rafael Alcaraz (lighting design), and Sam Lerner (sound design).
