Simon Paisley Day will play Petruchio opposite Samantha Spiro’s Katharina in The Taming of the Shrew, which will run in repertory June 23-October 13 at Shakespeare’s Globe.
As previously reported, Toby Frow will direct the production.
Day was recently seen opposite Kim Cattrall in Private Lives on Broadway. His other stage credits include Twelfth Night at the National Theatre and The Ugly One at Royal Court. Among his television credits are Doc Martin, Sherlock, Hustle and Being Human.
