Stage veterans Tim DeKay, Ron Livingston, Josh Lucas, Jason Ritter, Gary Sinise, and Steve Zahn will be among the narrators for the History Channel’s ten-part docudrama, WWII in HD, according to a report in Variety.
The series draws from over 3,000 hours of archival color footage, unearthed from archives and private collections scattered across the globe, and restored to pristine condition through advanced HD technology. In addition, contemporary HD footage will be blended in to reveal what has become of some of the places depicted. The narrative will follow the experiences of a handful of men as their personal journeys cross-connect with one another throughout the war, and will feature their own words, found in unpublished diaries and journals.
The series will also include voice work by LL Cool J, Justin Bartha, Rob Corddry, Mark Hefti, James Kyson Lee, and Amy Smart.
