Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo, Andrea Riseborough to Join Tom Cruise in Oblivion Film

Stage veterans Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo and Andrea Riseborough will join Oscar winner Tom Cruise in Joseph Kolinski’s film Oblivion, according to Deadline.com.


The film takes place on post-apocalyptic Earth which is endangered by a virulent alien species.


Freeman’s received a Tony Award nomination in 1978 for The Mighty Gents, and his other Broadway credits include The Country Girl, Purlie, and The Gospel at Colonus. He won an Academy Award for his work in Clint Eastwood’s Million Dollar Baby and has been nominated four other times.


Leo received a Drama Desk Award for her work in The Distance From Here. She won the Academy Award for The Fighter.

Riseborough appeared Off-Broadway in MCC Theater’s The Pride and can currently be seen on the big screen in Madonna’s W.E..
