La Femme’s updated production features an unpublished second act.

La Femme Theatre Productions has announced the cast of its production of Wendy Wasserstein’s An American Daughter, running July 23-September 6, with an official opening on August 11, on the Irene Diamond Stage at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Sarna Lapine directs the production.
The cast is lead by Tony nominee Montego Glover, Tony winner Robert Sean Leonard, and Jean Lichty, with Drama Desk Award winner Dakin Matthews, Tony and Drama Desk nominee Mary Beth Peil, Drama Desk Award winner Ryan Spahn, Will DeVary, Chris Ghaffari, and Carmen Zilles.
An American Daughter, which examines the unraveling of a prominent American political family as personal missteps, sexual politics, public scrutiny, and relentless media attention collide, premiered in 1997 at Lincoln Center. La Femme’s updated production, the first New York revival of this play, features an unpublished second act.
The creative team includes set designer Mikiko Suzuki MacAdams, costume designer Donna Zakowska, lighting designer Alan C. Edwards, sound designer Darron L West, props designer Kathy Fabian / Propstar, and dramaturg Amy Stoller.
