Oscar winner and Tony Award nominee Jane Fonda has joined the cast of the comedy Better Living Through Chemistry, according to Deadline.com.
David Posamentier and Geoff Moore are co-directing and writing the film, which focuses on a straight-laced pharmacist whose uneventful life spirals out of control. The cast includes Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Michelle Monaghan, Ray Liotta, and Ken Howard.
Fonda received a Tony Award nomination for 33 Variations, and her other Broadway credits include Strange Interlude and Invitation to March.
She won Academy Awards for her performances in Coming Home and Klute and received Oscar nominations for The Morning After, On Golden Pond, Julia, and They Shoot Horses Don’t They. In addition, she will co-star in the new film Peace, Love & Understanding and HBO’s upcoming series The Newsroom.
