Stage and screen star Chris Pine will star in the independent film Mantivities, a comedy he co-wrote with about an ex-child star spurred into taking hold of his life by a bunch of his friends, according to published reports. Michael Patrick Jann will direct. the film.
Pine’s stage credits include The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Farragut North, and The Athiest.
He is best known for his portrayal of Captain Kirk in the Star Trek film, and will be seen on the big screen next month in Welcome to People.
