William Wade and John Atkins’ musical Warsaw will receive a one-night-only performance at the Patriots Theater in Trenton, New Jersey on February 6 at 7:30pm. Jamibeth Margolis will direct the performance, which will benefit Boheme Opera New Jersey.

The piece is based on the true heroic story of the Warsaw ghetto fighters who led an uprising against the Nazis in 1943. The company will include Don Brewer, Richard Todd Adams, and Heather Koren.

Warsaw has been presented as part of the Dixon Place Theater Festival at New York’s Makor Center and it was a finalist in the Cardiff Festival for international musical theater. The show was also awarded a slot in the Developmental Reading Series of the New York Musical Theater Festival in 2007. Wade’s other credits include Alice with Frank Blocker, and Wounded Knee, currently in development. Atkins’ other credits include book and lyrics for the musical Stages and libretto for the opera Redemption.
