Glenn Davis, Francis Guinan, John Ortiz Join Steppenwolf Theatre Company Productions

Additional casting and productions have been announced for Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s previously reported 2012-2013 season.

David Lindsay-Abaire’s Good People will open the season, running September 11-November 11. K. Todd Freeman directs the production, which features Will Allan, Alana Arenas, Keith Kupferer, Maryann Mayberry, Molly Regan, and Lusia Strus.

Next up is Heidi Stillman’s adaptation of Markus Zusak’s novel The Book Thief, running October 16-November 9 under the direction of Hallie Gordon. The production will feature Patrick Andrews, Amy J. Carle, Rob Fagin, Rae Gray, Dennis William Grimes, Francis Guinan, Nikki Klix, Ian Knox, Anthony-Jon LeSage, Clancy McCartney, Andy Monson, Mark Ulrich, and Nicole Wiesner.

Stephen Adly Guirgis’ the Motherf**er with the Hat, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, will run December 27-March 3 and feature Sandra Delgado, Sandra Marquez, John Ortiz, and Gary Perez.

Austin Pendleton’s revival of Harold Pinter’s The Birthday Party (January 24 – May 19) features the previously announced Ian Barford, Guinan, Moira Harris, John Mahoney, and Sophia Sinise.

Miles Harvey’s How Long Will I Cry?: Voices of Youth Violence will run February 26-March 9 under the direction of Edward Torres, featuring artistic consulting by Kelli Simpkins.

Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Glenn Davis, and Jacqueline Williams join Arenas, Freeman, Jon Michael Hill, and Tim Hopper in Tina Landau’s production of Tarrel Alvin McCraney’s Head of Passes (April 4-June 9). The season’s final offering will be Anne Kaufmann’s production of Amy Herzog’s Belleville, featuring Arenas and Kate Arrington.
