Sing Harlem Sing!, a new autobiographical musical by Vy Higginsen about her groundbreaking career as a disc jockey, will play Harlem’s Dempsey Theatre, April 17-May 10. The production will be directed by Ken Wydro, with choreography by Michael Rice.
In addition to Higginsen, the cast will feature Alana Alexander, Tradonia Baker, LaFredrick Coaxner, Tyrone Flowers, Hortensia Gooding, Ahmaya Knoelle, Michael Liverpool, Dejahnee Richardson, Terri Small, Craig Stagg, James Street, Tiffany Thompson, Corey Walker, and Craig Wiggins.
The creative team also features Edward Cieghorn (music direction), Tone Baxter (sets), Theta Dennis (wardrobe), Chistophe Pierre (lighting), and Don Holder (sound).
