Signature Theatre has revealed its 2026–27 season.

Artistic director Matthew Gardiner will helm two works by Stephen Sondheim: Merrily We Roll Along (August 25–November 1) and Follies (May 18–June 20, 2027), the latter a co-production with Shakespeare Theatre Company. Merrily We Roll Along will star Jason Gotay (Frank), Jake Loewenthal (Charley), and Awa Sal Secka (Mary).

The season includes the regional premiere of Adam Gwon’s All the World’s a Stage (October 20–December 20), followed by Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman’s Tony-winning musical The Secret Garden (December 8, 2026–February 21, 2027).

Next up is the DC premiere of The Monsters by Ngozi Anyanwu (February 2–March 21, 2027), followed by the world premiere of A Mountain for Elodie by Benjamin Scheuer (March 23–April 25, 2027).

The spring lineup continues with John Leguizamo’s Latin History for Morons, starring Brian Quijada, (April 27–June 13, 2027), leading into a new production of Urinetown (June 1–August 8, 2027).

Alongside Follies, Signature will present a special limited engagement of Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares (April 27–May 2, 2027).

Full details bout each production will be announced at a later date.
