Seth Rudetsky hosts the intimate concert series.
Grammy, Emmy, and Tony nominee Vanessa Williams will join the Broadway Up Close series at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center on January 21, performing alongside host and pianist Seth Rudetsky. The concert series will include musical performances as well as behind-the-scenes stories from Williams' career.
As a recording artist, Williams has sold 25 million records worldwide and has earned a total of 17 Grammy nominations. On Broadway, she has appeared in Kiss of the Spider Woman, Into the Woods (Tony nomination), Sondheim on Sondheim, The Trip to Bountiful, and After Midnight, and performed her concert Vanessa Williams: Silver & Gold at the Palace Theatre. On television, she is well known as Wilhelmina Slater from Ugly Betty, a role that brought her three Emmy nominations during the series’ four-season run.
Seth Rudetsky has hosted his Broadway Series in major cities all across the country. He is the afternoon host on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio's "On Broadway" as well as the host of Seth Speaks on SiriusXM Stars.
