TNT has given a 10-episode series order to Monday Mornings, which will co-star Tony Award nominee Alfred Molina and Tony Award winner Bill Irwin. The series will premiere in summer 2013.

Created by award-winning producer David E. Kelley and practicing neurosurgeon and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, M.D., on whose book the series is based, Monday Mornings is set in a fictional Oregon hospital. It will follow the lives of doctors as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings.

The cast also features Ving Rhames, Jamie Bamber, Jennifer Finnigan, Keong Sim, Sarayu Rao, and Emily Swallow.

Molina will play the hospital’s chief of surgery, Dr. Harding Hooten, while Irwin will play Dr. Buck Tierney.
