Casting has been announced for David Nicholls’ film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel Great Expectations, which will begin shooting in London this month, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will be directed by Mike Newell.
Jeremy Irvine will play Pip, and the cast will include Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane, Ewen Bremner, Jason Flemyng, Sally Hawkins, Tamzin Outhwaite, David Walliams, and Holliday Grainger.
Newell’s many films include Harry Potter and the Goblin of Fire, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Mona Lisa Smile, and Donnie Brasco.
