PHOTO FLASH: Stephen Schwartz Celebrates Birthday with Godspell and Wicked Casts

On Tuesday, March 13, cast members from Broadway’s Godspell and Wicked joined composer Stephen Schwartz to celebrate his birthday (which was actually on March 6) in the alley between the Gershwin Theatre and Circle in the Square.

Garnering a Drama Desk Award, three Grammy Awards, three Academy Awards and six Tony Award nominations over the course of his career, Schwartz is responsible for such Broadway hits as Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked. His more recent works include Seance on a Wet Afternoon and, as previously announced, he is currently working on Houdini for the 2013-2014 Broadway season.
