Katrina Lenk played her first performance as Arachne in the Broadway production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, at the Foxwoods Theatre, on Tuesday, May 29.

Among those in attendance that evening was 3rd Place American Idol finalist Joshua Ledet, who stopped by backstage to take photos with the cast after the performance.

The musical is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility. It features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley, original direction by Julie Taymor, and a book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Lenk joins a cast that also includes Reeve Carney as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Patrick Page as The Green Goblin, and Rebecca Faulkenberry as Mary Jane Watson.
