The stars of Broadway’s Venus in Fur — Nina Arianda and Hugh Dancy — will participate in Manhattan Theatre Club’s “After Words” presentation about the play, hosted by The Greene Space at WNYC and WQXR, on Thursday, November 17 at 5pm.
In the play, Vanda (Arianda) is a preternaturally talented young actress determined to land the lead in Thomas’ (Dancy) new play based on the classic erotic novel, Venus in Fur. Her emotionally charged audition for the gifted but demanding playwright/director becomes an electrifying game of cat and mouse blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex.
Arianda and Dancy will be joined by playwright David Ives and director Walter Bobbie, as well as host Elliott Forrest.
Venus in Fur is currently in previews at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and opens Tuesday, November 8. For tickets and more information on the Broadway production, click here.
