The producers of The Lost Boys, which is currently playing Broadway’s Palace Theatre, have announced that the production’s North American tour will launch at Playhouse Square in Cleveland in spring 2028.

Nominated for 12 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, The Lost Boys is about a mom and her two sons who move to Santa Carla, California, looking for a fresh start. Instead, they find a town plagued by vampires who take a liking to oldest son Michael. Will he abandon his mom and bro for this sexy, shadowy new chosen family?

The musical is based on the 1987 film by Joel Schumacher. In his review for TheaterMania, critic Pete Hempstead called it, “the best new musical on Broadway.”

The Lost Boys features a book by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch, a score by The Rescues, direction by two-time Tony winner Michael Arden, and aerial choreography by Lauren Yalango-Grant (Parade) & Christopher Cree Grant. Yes, the teenage vampires fly.

“We look forward to welcoming the creative team, cast, and crew to town and we know our more than 39,000 season ticket holders will be thrilled to be the first audiences in the country to see what promises to be an incredible touring production,” said Playhouse Square CEO Craig Hassall.
