Lookingglass Theatre‘s production of the new musical Eastland has been extended through August 19. Amanda Dehnert directs, with musical direction by Malcolm Ruhl.
Featuring a book by Andrew White and a score by Ben Sussman and Andre Pluess, Eastland is based in part on events recounted in Jay Bonansinga’s book The Sinking of the Eastland: America’s Forgotten Tragedy.
The cast features Larry DiStasi, Christine Mary Dunford, Doug Hara, Jeanne T. Arrigo, Derek Hasenstab, Erik Hellman, Malcolm Ruhl, Michael Smith, Scott Stangland, Tiffany Topal, Claire Wellin, and Monica West.
The design team includes Dan Ostling (scenic design), Mara Blumenfeld (costume design), Christine A. Binder (lighting design), Ray Nardelli and Josh Horvath (sound design), and Maria DeFabo (properties design).
