Eclipse Theatre Company has announced the full cast and creative team for the Chicago premiere of Pearl Cleage’s A Song for Coretta, which will play the Greenhouse Theater Center, June 11-July 26, with an opening set for June 14. Sarah Moeller will direct.
The play pays tribute to Coretta Scott King, widow of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., through the memories of five strangers whose everyday lives embody her ongoing legacy.
The cast will feature TayLar (Helen), Kelly Owens (Mona), Kristy Johnson (Keisha), Niccole Thurman (Zora), and Ebony Wimbs (Gwen). The creative team will include Chris Corwin (set), Nathaniel Swift (lighting), Kaitlyn Kearn (costumes), and Adam Smith (sound).
