Producer Ken Davenport hopes to bring a revival of Stephen Schwartz’ Godspell to Broadway during the 2010-2011 season, according to Variety. Daniel Goldstein is slated to direct. No casting information has been announced.

Goldstein, who directed a successful revival of the piece at the Paper Mill Playhouse in 2006, had been scheduled to direct a Broadway production of the musical in 2008, but the production never materialized.

Godspell is a 1970s take on biblical parables and the passion of Christ. It is conceived by original director John-Michael Tebelak, and features the popular song “Day by Day.”
