Actor Gaius Charles is set to join ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy during its upcoming ninth season, according to TVLine.com. The site says the actor’s role has not been finalized.
Charles’ stage credits include Lower Ninth, Broke-Ology, and Othello, opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Ortiz, and Jessica Chastain.
His television credits include Friday Night Lights, Necessary Roughness, NCIS, and Pan Am.
Grey’s Anatomy stars Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo, and also features such stage veterans as Sandra Oh, Sara Ramirez, Jesse Williams, and Chandra Wilson.
