The Center Theatre Group has announced its selections for its 2012-2013 Kirk Douglas Theatre season.

The season will begin with the Elephant Room, a combination of magic and comedy by Trey Lyford, Geoff Sobelle and Steve Cuiffo, to be directed by Paul Lazar (August 22- September 16); to be followed by the acclaimed Gate Theatre Dublin production of Samuel Beckett’s classic drama Krapp’s Last Tape starring John Hurt, and directed by Michael Colgan (October 9-November 4).

Up next is The Second City’s world premiere production of A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!, written by Peter Gwinn and Bobby Mort (November 24-December 30); the world premiere of Jennifer Haley’s award-winning otherworldly drama The Nether, to be directed by Neel Keller (March 19-April 14); the world premiere of the Marco Ramirez’s boxing drama The Royale, to be directed by Daniel Aukin (April 28-June 12).

In addition, the DouglasPlus programming will include a special Los Angeles version of the off-Broadway hit Radiate, featuring Jomama Jones (August 3-4), and an English language production of Guillermo Calderon’s Neva (June 11-16).
