The New York premiere will play at the York Theatre Company.
The York Theatre Company has announced the full cast for the New York premiere of Plaid Tidings, the holiday edition of the musical revue Forever Plaid, featuring a book by Stuart Ross and vocal and musical arrangements by James Raitt, Brad Ellis, Raymond Berg, and David Snyder. Ross also lends direction and musical staging, with musical continuity and supervision by Snyder.
The four-member cast will feature Bradley Beahen as Frankie, Jose Luaces as Sparky, Ciaran Mccarthy as Jinx, and John Michael Zuerlein as Smudge.
Holiday classics are getting a Forever Plaid twist, with renditions of "Jingle Bells," "'Twuz the Night B4…," and "The Dreidel Song" making the bill. Audience favorites include the riotous three-minute version of "The Ed Sullivan Show" (this time featuring the Rockettes, the Chipmunks, and the Vienna Boys Choir) and a Plaid Caribbean Christmas will also join the performance.
Performances are set to begin on Tuesday, December 8, for a limited three-week engagement through Sunday, December 27, at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's. The production's official opening is set for Sunday, December 13.
