Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton will offer 10,000 tickets at the price of $10 during its upcoming three-week engagement in Puerto Rico.

All remaining tickets to the January 9, 16, and 23 matinees will be sold to Puerto Rico residents for $10 each as part of a digital lottery. Over 200 tickets to every other performance will be available at that price for island residents who win the digital lottery. Additionally, 1,000 $10 tickets will be made available to college students with a valid ID for the January 9 matinee. Details, policies, and procedures for the digital lottery, and student ticket sales will be provided closer to the engagement.

Miranda will reprise his role as Alexander Hamilton for the three-week Puerto Rico engagement, which runs January 8-27, 2019, at Teatro UPR. Additional casting and information for Hamilton's engagement in Puerto Rico will be announced at a future date.

With book, music, and lyrics by Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War, and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. The musical won 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography, and Orchestrations.
