The York Theatre announced the lineup for its NEW2NY Series, presenting three new musicals-in-development at the Theatre at St. Jean’s March 6, 2027-April 11, 2027. All tickets are $35 (plus fees).

Originally titled Knoxville, the musical All the Way Home, featuring a book by Frank Galati, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, will be presented April 3-11. Directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, All the Way Home is based on James Agee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A Death in the Family and its Pulitzer Prize-winning stage adaptation. Originally directed by Frank Galati, it was first produced by the Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, Florida, and subsequently developed at the Clarence Brown Theatre in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The lineup also includes Sometimes Love (March 6-14), an original musical with music and lyrics by Michael Mott, book by Gretchen Suárez-Peña, and direction by Peter Flynn, inspired by the true story of Aryana Rose, whose presentation at The Moth went viral in 2017, and Nikola Tesla: The Forgotten Genius (March 20-28), with book, music, and lyrics by Robert Lindsey-Nassif, story by Cavan Hallman, and direction by John Znidarsic, the true story of Nikola Tesla, the inventor who battled Thomas Edison to bring electricity to the world.
