Macleod Andrews, Jan Leslie Harding, Samantha Soule et al. Set for The Umbrella Plays

Macleod Andrews, Matt Dickson, Natalie Gold, Jan Leslie Harding, Stephanie Janssen, Chris Stack, and Samantha Soule will star in a return engagement of Janssen’s The Umbrella Plays, to be presented at The Tank, March 31-April 10. Daniel Talbott will direct.

The show connects six snap-shot-sized plays, each offering a glimpse into the lives of a disparate (and sometimes desperate) cast of characters, as they work their ways through inclement weather of the literal and figurative variety, searching for shelter in whatever form it can be found. The smallest and most common-place of objects, the simple umbrella, becomes the entry point into these stories.

The design team will include Eugenia Furneaux-Arends (set), Brad Peterson (lighting), and Tristan Raines (costumes).

The Umbrella Plays had a sold-out and critically acclaimed run at the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, where it received an award for Outstanding Play.
