Andrea Frierson, Phoebe Strole, and More Set for Inner Voices 2014 Premieres

Premieres has announced the complete cast and creative teams for this season’s Inner Voices, a biannual series of solo works featuring new teams of playwrights and composers. Performances will begin on October 4 at the TBG Theatre. Opening night is set for October 11, and performances will continue through November 1.

Andrea Frierson will star in Grace, which focuses on award-winning novelist Grace Monroe as she faces the most devastating challenge of her life. The new work features a libretto by Charlayne Woodard and score by Kirsten Childs. Music direction will be by Rona Siddiqui.

Phoebe Strole will portray Lena in The Other Room, a look at friendship and political engagement during the early years of the AIDS crisis in New York. The Other Room's libretto is by Mark Campbell, and the score is by Marisa Michelson. Ian Axness is musical director.

The design team of Inner Voices comprises Reid Thompson (sets/costumes/props), Oliver Wason (lighting), Jacob Subotnick (projections), and Jon Carter (wigs).

Premieres is a New York based music theater organization whose mission is "to bring new music theater to light."
