The Tony Award-winning musical The Lion King will be featured on the June 14 episode of ABC’s The Bachelorette as Ali Fedotowsky, star of the sixth edition of the series, is joined by seven bachelors for a group date at the show, playing at the Minskoff Theatre.

Joined by Thomas Schumacher, president and producer of Disney Theatrical Productions, and members of The Lion King creative team, Ali auditions her suitors, each trying to sing and dance their way into her heart, with the hope of being chosen to make his Broadway debut with her in that night’s performance of the musical.

Based on the 1994 Disney animated film, The Lion King is directed by Julie Taymor. The Broadway score features Elton John and Tim Rice’s music from the film along with three new songs by John and Rice; additional musical material by South African Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, Julie Taymor and Hans Zimmer; and music from “Rhythm of the Pride Lands,” an album inspired by the original music in the film, written by Lebo M, Mark Mancina and Hans Zimmer.
