Producers of the upcoming Broadway premiere of Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown's The Bridges of Madison County have announced that the production will officially open at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on February 20. The production, directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher, will begin previews on January 17.

The Bridges of Madison County is based on the book of the same name by Robert James Waller. It tells the story of an Italian woman who marries an American soldier in order to flee Italy, only to find herself drawn to a lonely National Geographic photographer.

Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara will lead the musical's cast alongside costar Steven Pasquale. The show received its world premiere this summer at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
