Broadway star Tony Vincent was eliminated from NBC’s reality-talent competition The Voice on Tuesday, April 10 on the team mentored by pop superstar CeeLo Green.

On The Voice, contestants audition for four mentor-judges — Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Christina Aguiliera — who can only hear them, not see them, before deciding to put them on their 12-person team. A grand winner will be crowned at season’s end.

On the April 9 episode, he sang Tears for Fears “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” but did not receive enough fan votes to ensure his safety. As a “last chance,” he sang the Eurthymics “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)” on the April 10 episode, but was eliminated by Green.

Vincent most recently appeared on Broadway as St. Jimmy in the Green Day musical American Idiot, and his other stage credits include We Will Rock You, Jesus Christ Superstar and Rent.
