Huntington Theatre Company announced plans for its 2016-2017 season, which will include playwright Bryony Lavery’s adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll's House, Suzan-Lori Parks Topdog/Underdog, and more. The season will feature four plays at the Boston University Theatre, the Huntington's mainstage on the Avenue of the Arts, and three plays at the Wimberly Theatre in the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.

To start the season, Huntington artistic director Peter DuBois will direct Stephen Sondheim's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park With George (September 9-October 16) at the Boston University Theatre. Then, Broadway's Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God) will helm Mike Lew's comedy Tiger Style! (October 14-November 13) at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA.

The Boston University Theatre will house three productions during the winter months, beginning with Alan Ayckbourn's Bedroom Farce (November 11-December 11), directed by Maria Aitken. Melia Bensussen will direct Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House (January 6-February 5), and Topdog/Underdog, a Pulitzer Prize winner by Suzan-Lori Parks (March 10-April 9) will be the theater's final offering.

The Huntington's final productions of the season, both at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, will be The Who & the What (March 31-April 30), a M. Bevin O’Gara-directed drama by Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar; and Ripcord, a comedy by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Jessica Stone.
