PHOTO FLASH: Memphis Cast Performs, Signs CD at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle

A special performance and signing of the original cast recording of the new Broadway musical Memphis was held at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle on Tuesday, August 6.
Memphis, which is playing at the Shubert Theatre, is based on a concept by George W. George and features book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro, music and lyrics by David Bryan, direction by Christopher Ashley, and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
The cast recording, which is distributed by Rhino Records, contains 19 songs and features a special acoustic version of “The Music of My Soul” with piano and vocals by Bryan.
The show stars Chad Kimball (Huey Calhoun), Montego Glover (Felicia Farrell), Derrick Baskin (Gator), J. Bernard Calloway (Delray Jones), James Monroe Iglehart (Bobby), Michael McGrath (Mr. Simmons), and Cass Morgan (Gladys Calhoun).
The company also includes Jennifer Allen, Brad Bass, Tracee Beazer, Kevin Covert, Hillary Elk, Dionne Figgins, Rhett George, John Jellison, Sydney Morton, Vivian Nixon, John Eric Parker, Jermaine R. Rembert, LaQuet Sharnell, Ephraim Sykes, Cary Tedder, Danny Tidwell, Daniel J. Watts, Katie Webber, Charlie Williams, and Dan’yelle Williamson.
