You’ve Got to Come Back a Star: 42nd Street to Hold Open Auditions for Female Tappers

The producers of the current Broadway revival of 42nd Street will hold open auditions for female tap dancers who sing on Friday, February 6 at the New 42nd Street Studios (229 West 42nd Street, third floor, studio 3B). Sign-ups will begin at 10:30am and end at 11am, when the auditions will start.

Auditionees must be able to tap well and also have good ballet and jazz technique. Women in the early 20s-early 30s age range, of all heights and all ethnicities, may audition, and non-union dancers are encouraged to attend this open call. All auditionees should bring a résumé and picture (a snapshot will do), tap shoes with a heel and character shoes with a heel. They should also bring sheet music and be prepared to sing.
