Tyne Daly, Star of Broadway’s Upcoming Mothers and Sons, Will Give Her Oral History to the Theater Archives
Tony Award winner and six-time Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly will be the subject of the next Oral History Project interview to be videotaped for the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive. Presented by Betty R. and Ralph Sheffer in collaboration with the League of Professional Theatre Women, the interview will take place at 6pm on Monday, October 7, at the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Actor and producer John V. Fahey, a personal friend of Daly’s, will conduct the interview. Admission is free but attendees will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Oral History Project’s producer, Betty Corwin, commented, “Tyne is a wonderful actress and an outstanding musical performer. Having her express her thoughts and recollections about her life and career on videotape will be a valuable addition to the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive.”
Previous Oral History interviewees include Tony Award-winning actresses Patti LuPone, Christine Ebersole, and Donna Murphy.
