Playwright and actor Tim Blake Nelson will guest star on the September 21 season premiere of ABC’s Modern Family, according to TVGuide.com. He will play Hank, a cowboy the family encounters on their dude ranch vacation.
Nelson most recently appeared on the New York stage in the 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. His many plays include Eye of God and The Grey Zone. His film and television acting credits include O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Chaos, and Leaves of Grass, and he will appear in the upcoming films Lincoln and Everybody Loves Whales.
Modern Family stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet, and Sofia Vergara.
