The Theatre World Awards board of directors and the Dorothy Loudon Foundation have announced that Ben Edelman will be honored with the 10th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award at the 74th Annual Theatre World Awards, taking place on the set of Once on This Island at Circle in the Square Theatre on Monday, June 4.

Edelman was most recently seen in Admissions at Lincoln Center Theatre, for which he received a 2018 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play. He has also been seen on Broadway in Significant Other, and on television in Instinct, BrainDead, and The Good Wife.

The Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater honors an outstanding performance in a Broadway or off-Broadway production. Katrina Lenk, Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Susan Pourfar have been among the previous honorees.

This year's Theatre World Awards will be hosted by Peter Filichia and directed by Stephen Nachamie. Owing to the beachfront set of Once on This Island at the Circle in the Square, the attire for the afternoon is described as "festive island wear." A party will follow at the Copacabana Rooftop.
