Solea Pfeiffer, John Douglas Thompson Join Shakespeare in the Park Hamlet

Ato Blankson-Wood will star in the free production this summer at the Delacorte Theater.

The Public Theater has revealed full casting for its free Shakespeare in the Park production of Hamlet, running June 8-August 6 at the Delacorte Theater.

As previously announced,  Ato Blankson-Wood will take on the title role. He will be joined by Solea Pfeiffer as Ophelia, John Douglas Thompson as Claudius, Lorraine Toussaint as Gertrude, Nick Rehberger as Laertes, Winter Miller as Horatio, Daniel Pearce as Polonius, Greg Hildreth as Gravedigger, Mitchell Winter as Rosencrantz, Brandon Gill as Guildenstern, Tyrone Mitchell Henderson as Osric/Priest, Colby Lewis as First Player, and an ensemble that includes Safiya Kaija Harris, Jaylon Jamal, Trí Lê, Cornelius McMoyler, Laughton Royce, Lance Alexander Smith, and Lark White, with Liam Craig, Myxolydia Tyler, William Oliver Watkins, and Bryce Michael Wood as understudies.

Hamlet will be directed by Kenny Leon and feature scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Jessica Jahn, lighting design by Allen Lee Hughes, sound design by Justin Ellington, projection design by Jeff Sugg, music composition by Jason Michael Webb, hair, wig, and makeup design by Earon Chew Nealey;, fight direction by Tom Schall, and choreography by Camille A. Brown. Karyn Meek will serve as production stage manager and Rachel Zucker will serve as stage manager.
