Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel Preview Their Run in Waitress

Incoming Waitress stars Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel met the press at Sardi's to preview their upcoming run in Bareilles's Broadway musical. Composer Bareilles will return to the role of Jenna, with Tony winner Creel as Dr. Pomatter, for a limited engagement January 7-February 3.

Waitress opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on April 24, 2016, earning Tony nominations for Best Musical and Best Original Score. Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture, Waitress features music and lyrics by Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus.
